Homeless of California's Central Valley
This project was a collaboration with Povorello House and Jeffrey Scott Advertising to tell the story of the Central Valley's urban and rural homeless population in the wake of a recently passed no camping ordinance. Guided by Poverello House staff, I photographed both urban and rural homeless encampments. The resulting work was exhibited in the historic office building owned by Jeffrey Scott Advertising, who created an extensive public outreach campaign around the show. Two years later, I returned to make new photographs for a second Poverello campaign in partnership with Blare Media.
